PROPOSED CHANGES IN FARES:
NYCT, MaBSTOA, MTA Bus and SIR
A public hearing will be held on proposed tariff changes, planned for implementation in 2013, that would affect fares charged by MTA New York City Transit (NYCT), the Manhattan and Bronx Surface Transit Operating Authority (MaBSTOA), MTA Bus Company (MTA Bus) and the Staten Island Rapid Transit Operating Authority (SIR), for trips on buses, subways, and the Staten Island Railway taken by persons who have been approved to receive Access-A-Ride (paratransit) services in New York City.

Registration to speak will be open from 2 to 7 p.m. on the date of the hearing. Oral testimony is limited to 3 minutes for each speaker. To register to speak in advance of the hearing or for more information, please call 718-521-3333; you can call from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m., 7 days a week. Deaf/hard of hearing customers should call 711 for relay services, and then ask to be connected to 718-521-3333 to speak with an agent. Written comments may be sent to MTA Government Affairs, 347 Madison Ave., New York, NY 10017, or submitted on the MTA website, www.mta.info. In accordance with applicable legal requirements notices are being posted at appropriate locations throughout the system with respect to the proposals under consideration. The hearing location is accessible to the mobility impaired. Interpreter services will be available for the hearing impaired.
